The most exciting to watch: the bathroom.

The very room that, for decades, ranked right behind the cubbyhole in the hierarchy of rooms (and was furnished just about as lovingly) is currently the most exciting to watch: the bathroom. What used to be the epitome of run-of-the-mill design no longer seems to fit into any neat category: a waterproof washing station or an aesthetically styled meditation room? A comfort zone for relaxing, a health temple equipped for steam and light therapy treatments, a buzzing fitness room or a candlelit well-being oasis? A fun bathroom with an iPod- or smartphone-controlled sound or quite simply a hub for the daily morning family meeting – the bathroom combines multiple functions like hardly any other part of the home. And it brings together things that don’t actually belong together: water, wood, textiles and electrical appliances.

Good lighting is the key to a good mood.

Light is much more than just lighting.

Anyone who has tried to enjoy a cosy meal in a too brightly lit room or to work under poor lighting conditions, knows only too well: Light is much more than just lighting. It has an effect on moods, influences the concentration and controls the daily rhythm.
